Stephen's Diary

Stephen Martin joined Clugston two years ago and led a significant change programme across the group. As part of the strategy, Martin was keen to understand more about how the company worked at grass roots and earlier this year grasped an opportunity from Channel 4 to work incognito as a labourer for the new series, Undercover Boss, due to air at the end of June. Despite getting up at 5am and doing some of the hardest physical work in his life, every night he wrote up a journal of what he had seen that day, the issues it highlighted for the company and his thoughts on what his management team needed to change in the future.
